India Class

Welcome to India Class!

Our teachers are Mrs Broomfield and

Mrs Lockhart

Our TAs are Miss Russell and Mrs Surry

Our mascot is Mamu the monkey.

Mamu means small child and good friend

in an Indian language called Marathi.

When we are star of the week we will be

able to bring Mamu home with us.

For the first couple of weeks we are finding out about our class country- India. Then our topic will be called "Where in the World?"

Please find below the spelling lists which will be coming home with the children over the next few weeks. They will bring them home on a Monday and be tested on a Friday. The words are linked to the phonics we are practising in school and are split into two lists, a "mild" list and a "spicy" list. It is up to the children to decide which list they want learn, but please encourage them to challenge themselves. If they manage to learn the spicy list with little difficulty they could think about other words which include the same pattern or write the words in a sentence to show that they understand what they mean and how to use them. They do not need to bring the sheet back into school, it is just to help them practise.
