WW1 Medic Visit
Congo Class were lucky to have a visit from George, a WW1 Medic from the Gloucester Regt. He told us about life in the trenches and answered lots of questions about WW1. The children found out about some unusual jobs that soldiers would have to do such as being a ‘Spotter’. This would involve being winched up in an air balloon and spotting where the German aircraft were. A terribly dangerous job which could result in death! A huge thank you to Sgt Allen for organising this visit from her WW1 boss and to George for his time and fascinating information.
