We would like to share with you the amazing set of books we have bought for each year group with the fantastic sponsor money raised by our families. This is only the first big purchase and we are so excited to buy more group and class readers to support our learning.
Thank you to everyone who read lots of pages, travelled the globe and raised money. We hugely appreciate it. đđ
Colerne CE Primary School have been very fortunate to have been donated four laptops to be given to those children who are technologically disadvantaged. The company ArgoDevops reached out to us as they are very keen to improve the social wellbeing of our community. We are very excited about the impact that these laptops will make for four families and school council were only too pleased to accept them on behalf of our school.
Thank you Brigette and her team for thinking of us and our community.
A great day was had by all. The team work, determination and energy shone through out the whole morning!!
This morning some of our Year 5 children had the great honour of being involved in the village flag raising ceremony to show support for our Armed Services. We are incredibly fortunate to have over 40% of our children come from a Military family and the children, both service and not, enjoyed the opportunity to show their support.

On Friday 15th May our magnificent school choir performed with 4 other schools at the Bath Abbey. They were part of the Voices for Life Choir singing in the Party in the City Festival. The choir sang with 150 other children, performing 6 songs which they have been rehearsing for weeks. It was a brilliant end to the term and a highlight of the choir year.
Thank you so much to all for your support with the sponsored read!!
This week the children took part in the London TCS Mini Marathon, covering two miles throughout the week. The children were invited to run, jog or walk around a two-mile course within our beautiful school setting. On Friday, they completed the challenge, with the whole school supporting and cheering each other on as they finished the distance.

The kids played brilliantly throughout the day, showing great teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship. Out of 7 matches played, they secured an impressive 5 wins and finished 2nd overall in the tournament.
We’re incredibly proud of how they represented the school both on and off the court. Well done to everyone involved! đ
ďťżA huge thank you to Nick Cozens for carving a beautiful wooden owl for the children of Colerne Primary. Digital devices are woven into everyday life for children and young people, but balancing the benefits with potential risks can feel challenging. This #WakeUpWednesday guide explores how screen use can influence sleep, emotional regulation, physical health and online experiences, offering clear context around why concerns about wellbeing are growing.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing PTA for making Santa’s visit today possible! Your time, effort, and generosity brought so much joy, excitement, and holiday magic to our children. Seeing the smiles, laughter, and festive cheer was truly unforgettable even despite the unfortunate British winter weather.
We are incredibly grateful for all that you do to support our school community—this special event is a wonderful reminder of the spirit of togetherness and giving. Thank you for helping create memories that will be cherished for years to come!
