Year One and Two children had two fabulous experience days to support their learning for the history topic on Magna Carta. Despite the poor weather we were able to bake bread over an open fire on Peasant Day, and children were surprisingly keen to eat lots of vegetable potage with it, at the end of the day. The food was rather more varied for their Noble Feast the next day, and the service was excellent! The atmosphere created by our roaming musician, who played some beautiful music on a range of instruments, truly transported us back in time, and we could picture ourselves as Lords and Ladies in a Great Hall. Many thanks to all of the adults who came in to help.
