Welcome to Colerne Church of England Primary School PTA!
WELCOME TO COLERNE PRIMARY SCHOOL PTA! We are the school’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA) made up of both parents and teachers working together to raise funds for the school and its children. All funds raised go towards enhancing the school experience by providing extra activities and experiences,
We like to provide a varied and interesting selection of activities to meet the needs of all our children. Some previous ‘extras’ the PTA fundraising has been able to fund include; a four metre long history timeline for the Key Stage 2 corridor, new outdoor play equipment, circus skills workshops, and a visit by the Science Dome during Science Week.
We run many events for both students and parents throughout the year. All parents, carers and teachers can get involved, even if you only have a small amount of available time. The varied events mean there’s something for everyone – it’s not just about being on the committee.
Could you lend your skills to:
- running our event bar
- event planning
- crowd control
- generating ideas
- speaking to local businesses
- liaising with the local community
- wrapping presents at Christmas
- running raffles
- manning our event stands
- baking cakes
- making tea and coffee.
The committee and some of our volunteers meet once a month - the door is always open for anyone to come along. BUT if meetings aren’t your thing and you’d just like to help at the events occasionally, just join our Helping Hands register and we’ll give you a shout when we’re planning something new!
