Cooking Club term 1 - Newsletter.
This term, children in Years 5 and 6 have had the opportunity to join a cooking club. They have used a variety of techniques, learnt some new skills and, over the course of 6 weeks, have made some delicious sweet and savoury treats.
Here’s what some of the children had to say…
“I enjoyed the sausage rolls. Having the recipe meant that I could try them again at home. I made them larger, and added mustard and mixed herbs.” Seb.
“Over the weekend, I was inspired by cooking club. I made rocky road, which turned out really well.” Aiden.
“I want to say a huge thank you to Mrs Gaston who has let us borrow her kitchen for cooking club. It’s been great fun and I’ve enjoyed everything we’ve made!” Isla.
